Today we will learn our first chord, A Major, and a basic strum pattern. You might be surprised to hear that there are songs that use only one chord! While guitar players may differ on the "most correct" way to finger and strum any one chord, you'll get the most out of this course by following my suggestions and recommendations. Don't be confused by the white lines on the outer edges of my guitar--it may look like an additional string in certain camera angles. Also, it's normal for your fingers to hurt at the beginning. This will go away with practice, but that is also why it is important to keep our practice sessions short for now. Let's start making music!

  • I CAN'T DO THIS!!!!! I KEEP TRYING BUT I CAN'T DO IT!

  • That's not how you properly finger the A chord.

  • I suck at this... I just startet.. I know that i gotta train, but seriously... I cant make it go like the way you do.... Mine going UPPP and DOWN ..... sounds awful...

  • @kekambas79 u proob dont hv the rite strings then

  • My fingers don't fit

  • I dont know what you mean by card (-.-????) But press your fingers down more firmly and make sure only one finger is touching one string. If all else fails you shouldnt be out in public unsupervised ;)

  • omg...im a beginner and when i simply put my finger on top of the card (barely pressing) the string makes no noise when i strum it!! is it supposed to be like that? those strings aren't amking any noise-__- ahhh idk what this means ?? D:
