Camp Keating, Afghanistan (former Kamdesh PRT) II

Outside 360-degree view of the now abandoned and destroyed Camp Keating in Kamdesh, Afghanistan. This footage was taken in 2007. The bridge was just outside the base, immediately above the HLZ. The Camp Keating perimeter is outlined in HESCO barriers.

The strength, courage and steadfast determination of the US personnel who lived, fought and died here should never be forgotten.

@Erh4bi The Talibans claimed that all those things were left behind when Al Jazeera's "inbedded" reporter (probably just another Taliban fighter careful not to wear his AK when doing "reporting") made a story about it. All they could show was a 100rnd belt of 7.62 (the same caliber used by the FN MAGs mounted on ANA Hummvees). They also claimed a lot of other BS that was simply pathetic.

@eagle6n97 what I hate is the fact that we would choose a fucking valley to set up a base! everyone knows that raining down fire from an uphill position is more of an advantage! we learnt that from many other bases coming under attack and yet still we seem not to get it! This is these fagots back yard, we're already at a disadvantage! Our commanders might as well take our weapons away and tell us to fight with sticks! Fighting from a position like this is like fighting with ur hands tied!
