I'm not sure I quite understand what you're saying...

but if you're implying that Usagi only stayed with Mamoru because she had to rule a kingdom with him in the future, than that's wrong. Usagi CHOSE to be with Mamoru. She could have run away. In the anime, she wasn't thinking, "Oh, I'm in love with Seiya, but I'm forced to rule a kingdom with Mamo-chan who I don't love as much!"...no, she was saying, "Seiya reminds me of Mamoru...where is Mamo-chan when I need him?"

I agree that the anime DID try to make Seiya more important. However, Usagi and Mamoru have WAY more history for Seiya to get in the way. Come on, Mamoru was there for her for four seasons and three movies, NO WAY does Seiya even have a little chance with Usagi. Mamoru wins, no competition at all in the anime either.

Just because Seiya had a crush on Usagi for ONE season (and remember, Usagi and Mamoru loved each other for more than that) doesn't mean he/she would replace Mamoru.

I'm talking about the anime, too. Remember in the Silver Millennium? It was destiny that Serenity SHOULDN'T marry Endymion, and that is the whole reason why Serenity and Endymion's love was "forbidden". They had to fight for that love; they had to fight destiny.

@xMoonlitRose Is so ridiculous! Talkin in the anime... was the destiny that Mamoru and Usagi must stayed together.

But like I said before in the manga is another case! In the manga explains everything! That they love was forbidden, and Seiya goes to another plane. I think that in the manga, is soooo different than in the anime for thta reason Seiya in the last season was so important and Mamoru doesnt. In the manga Seiya was anonymous and in the manga Usagi and Mamoru have REAL LOVE ♥

Nah, I mean... she always prefer to Seiya as friend like you said probably, she will never think this things from him (once again I'm talkin in the anime), is she doesnt choose him was for Rini/Chibiusa. 4 a moment think; why Haruka and Michiru really angry with her? First was they are another senshi and Seiya, i think Usagi doesnt knows she likes him. When He/she proposal to Usagi, why she must to think? And why Rei visited her to saying she have Mamoru?

Also, what destiny stuff? Destiny clearly wanted Usagi and Mamoru AWAY from each other; that was the whole point of Serenity and Endymion's forbidden love. The whole time Serenity and Endymion were fighting destiny, trying to be together because they fell in love even though they weren't supposed to. So I don't understand what you mean about how she doesn't stay with Seiya because of the destiny stuff.

Um, LOL, did you watch the last episode? Even in the anime, Usagi would STILL choose Mamoru as a LOVER. Of course she loves Seiya. She loves Seiya as a FRIEND. Who says Usagi can't still care for Seiya but be Mamoru's lover? Usagi and Seiya are friends; of course they care about each other! But through the last episode, you can tell that no matter what, Seiya could NEVER replace Mamoru as a lover for Usagi.

@xMoonlitRose It's late but i'm not agree with u is so obvious that Usagi will prefer Seiya why? For the only reason she really cares him, no like the others, he/she help her so much! I'm sure that she doesnt stay with Seiya was 'cuz the destiny and all that stuff! I'm sure that they still together if the reason was so different speakin on the anime.

In the manga was so obvious she prefer Mamoru! As always :)

Conlusion: She must have stayed with Seiya in the anime and in the manga with Mamoru

It's pretty easy, actually.

Just think: Who does Usagi love more? Seiya or Mamoru? Who does she love as more than a friend? Was she ever in love with Seiya anyway? lol. The answer's pretty obvious to me.

And it's Usagi's decision. She obviously chose who she preferred in the end: Mamoru. SeiyaxUsagi is no comparison to the trust and love of MamoruxUsagi. No competition at all! XD
