Since when does a controlled demolition eject any debris? The whole point of controlled demolition is to bring down a building in its own footprint, not to blow out the walls. Plus wouldn't the explosion required to eject that kind of debris be very visible? Why is it that you can't actually see an explosion?

It's irrelevant that energy can be transfered to the ground, through the solid buildings. Of course it can. Even if the steal was weakened like the official rapport says its not enough to cause freefall which this HAS which means there is no resistance which CAN't happen in a normal buckling.
