Derelict and Dangerous - The old farmhouse at Park Grange, Loughborough, Charnwood is a listed building that developers have left to ruin. It is now derelict and dangerous. There are no perimeter fences to the rear of the building allowing direct access from the public footpath. There are no danger signs to the rear of the property. Children and youths can access the site just by walking in. Charnwood Borough Council are aware of the problem, including risks to health and safety of children and young people that might enter the site. They have spoken to but not taken action to enforce the owners to at least put up a safe and secure perimeter fence. Should someone be badly hurt we believe that Charnwood Borough Council could be held jointly responsible due to their intransigence in making sure that the site is made safe by the owner.
