If every city and every country which ever hosted the olympics had a perfect record of human welfare, the olympics would never occur. In terms of inspiring youth, and bringing together the cultures and nations of the world, the Olympics are priceless.
Rather than protesting the very existence of the olympics, why not campaign for sustainable development, and for the facilities built to house athletes and tourism in BC to be turned into social housing after the games end?
