  • this number rooted me to the spot when he came to Sheffield, UK - it was a sunday gig and the management pulled the power at 10.30 sharp (licensing laws) whilst he was still performing...someone in the audience shouted out "give us a poem,Gil!" and so he belted out a few poems acoustically - there was no stopping the man! He'll never be dead for me x

  • @ccth22 that is such a touching statement, you are so right

  • I was privileged to call on radio programmers with "The First Minute of a New Day" which included this amazing and haunting song in 1975. His performance that year in Houston was unforgettable. After the show I drove him in my '53 Chevy to our Pacifica radio station to do an interview. They were just about the only media outlet that would pay us any attention. He was very kind to me and I'll never forget him~

  • RIP brother U endured the winter, now U can enjoy paradise!

  • Please. You don't know the revolution. You can't recreate this time.

  • @bapyou nice - like it
