    I think it's just two. In the clips when you see it running to the right, they've probably just flipped the footage of it running to the left.

    The reason "platypuses," "platypodes" or "platypoda" is correct is because "platypus" comes from Greek - "flat-footed," it means. The same goes for "octopus:" (eight-footed) While some might insist "octopi" is the correct pluralization, it's really "octopodes/octopoda/octopuses.­" The "us" to "i" rule really only applies to catcus/cacti because its name comes from Latin. Tell your friends!

    the other animal you're thinking of is called an echidna (pronounced "ee-KID-nuh"). it is also called "spiny anteater". it is not actually a kind of porcupine, but it does resemble one.
