Trailer for the BBC comedy-drama "Micro Men" about Sir Clive Sinclair and Chris Curry.

Described by the BBC as "an affectionately comic account of the 80s race for home computer supremacy"

From the BBC Press office:

Martin Freeman (The Office) and Alexander Armstrong (Armstrong & Miller, Mutual Friends) star in this single drama which provides an affectionately comic account of the race for home computer supremacy in the Eighties.

Micro Men documents the lengthy rivalry between maverick visionary Sir Clive Sinclair (Armstrong) and his former colleague Chris Curry (Freeman) who go head-to-head to achieve domination of the growing home computer market. Micro Men gives an amusing insight into the brilliant but eccentric characters that triggered the beginning of the UK computer revolution.

Part of the Electric Revolution Season.

  • I wish Sir Clive and Chris Curry would return to the computer market and save us from our dreadful Windows PC's.

  • Where once Britain had men like Sinclair and Curry, it now has corrupt, greedy bankers and pea-brained celebs who make nothing.of any value.

  • Can anyone link to a soundtrack for this?

  • Watched this again just recently -- still incredibly enjoyable. I wish they hadn't changed the title, though -- "Syntax Era" is genius, whereas "Micro Men" is a bit dull.

  • @GuruMediator Truth. I, as a non British citizen, enjoyed Micro Men a lot and i´m generally positive suprised about the quality of the BBC programme, compared to our public service broadcaster.

About Micro Men: Yes, every company needs a visionary, but they also can destroy a lot, because they see no limitations in any case and thats not a rational thinking.

  • Quality programme by the BBC!
