its wasnt, it was just a demo to get off road runner because they all wanted to do their own things. but then they decided to keep fear factory going and get a new bassist. transgression was written bout a year after the release of archetype. the production on trangression was too rushed, the songs were written and recorded in a very short space of time. cuz they were rushed on to do Gigantour 2005 by their label.

Transgression was a demo they did to get out of Road Runner records. Road runner said make a demo as Fear factory and we'll let you go. and they made it and it wasnt supposed to be released but being that Road runnner owns it.. they put it out. burton c bell is the best metal singer i have ever heard. He can sing as well as scream growl, and sould freakin amazing. FF is an amazing band that only gets better as they get older. 17 years and way ahead of there time. Listen to some of there older albums and notice how bands today are just now catching up to them. Alot of band i feel got there influences from ff. Especially the vocals. So many band have the hard vocals and then softer vocals for the chorus, a ff trademark. FF forever!
