As CollegeRecruiter.com CEO and Founder, Steven Rothberg addresses the current status and forward looking directions of recruiting and employment marketing that employers and job boards will face in the world of tomorrow.
Though it was born only 15 years ago, the employment recruiters and the online job board industry as we know it today have been through periods of tremendous change and incredible growth in the way jobs are marketed. Tracing the history of employment advertising from the first newspapers to the innovations in Internet based products and services, Rothberg notes the widespread acceptance of these methods by candidates and recruiters; but, what is the price; and, will these changes evolve beyond the job board?
The job board industry has already seen more than its share of business failures, questionable ethics and security breaches. The potential problems associated with posting resumes for search by employers has caused the better boards to abandon the practice.; while, at the same time, lowering rates for job postings in this down economy to compete.
You have to question where job boards will be tomorrow, next year, and five years into the future? As employers grow savvy to posting their brand and their positions to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, other social networks and sites yet to appear, will the job board continue to exist, or, will the business model itself evolve, radically changing into something new and completely different?
In this fast-paced presentation, Steven Rothberg provides recruiters and HR teams a peek around the corner at what is coming to the job board industry. He also introduces those forms of video recruitment advertising that are working with GEN Y millennials to bring in talent. The insights offered will prepare you today for the rapid and significant changes that will impact your views, your budget, and your hiring plans and practices of tomorrow.
