We just found out my 13 yr old has a moderate hearing loss due to Otosclerosis i can't find anything about this we are wanting to explore everything, (surgery, hearing aids?

While this video is mostly about restoring hearing to older individuals, I'm not really a fan of the way they say people are "reconnecting to the world" --as if implying that people are completely cut off from society/isolated just from hearing loss. I know there are some deaf people would fiercely disagree, and even take offense to that statement, and even as a hearing person, I was a little taken aback. .
