A short documentary produced by 3 students at Kent State University in 2006. It focuses on the All-American Bridge (otherwise known as the Y-Bridge), in Akron, OH and the debate over whether or not to build a fence along the bridge to prevent people from committing suicide by jumping off of it and landing in a community below. Produced, written, and directed by Tim Logan, Keith Potoczak, and Jaclyn Latessa. Copyright 2006 All rights reserved.
This looks like it could have been interesting, but I had to stop it at 2:00. The effects are incredibly annoying and render it unwatchable.

There is a bridge between from Perth Amboy NJ over the Raritan river, it was very low to the ground/water and it was in bad shape, so, it was destroyed and a big beautiful, high bridge was put in it's place with plenty of sidewalk area to either bike/walk over the bridge besides driving. Well, I gotta tell ya, right after they did it, a boatload of folks jumped off of it. It was incredible. I feel sorry for those folks, God bless them, I will pray for them.

The information in the film is good. The treatment of it up until ~4.15 is distracting & offputting. good images, to be sure, but it looks like the director just learned some new tricks in FCP & can't help himself. If you want to see how to do voice-over narration w/ still footage, go watch "An Injury to One". Unfortunately, a tough film to get ahold of.

most film students have no talent and substitute substance with annoying fluf. I hate this shit. If you cared about suicide you wouldn't waste your time putting a bunch of superficial shit in your video you stupid asshat. People like you put the art of film to shame. The worst part of it is that you actually think you're going to be famous someday. Fuck you I want you to die. You probably deserve to die more than these suicide victims,

Yeah, I agree. Too much fading, and "movement." That's fine in a 30 second beginning, but it got old 1, 2, 3 minutes in.

How about just showing the film clearly, rather than obscuring a good part of it with the 'artsy' bullshit.
