GB3US Sheffield UHF Repeater Part 3 of 3 On a Yaesu FT 8800R Dual Band FM Transceiver.

At home in Dronfield just listening to one of my local UHF Repeaters, GB3US that is in Sheffield. Signals from the repeater to me were 5/8 & i am about 6 Miles from the box. I was listening on my Yaesu FT-8800R Dual Band FM Transceiver into a Diamond X-50 Dual Band (2m & 70cm) Collinear at about 30 feet off the ground.

Stations heard were Andy M0GAV, Bill 2E0EZX & Micheal G7MLL on GB3US Sheffield UHF Repeater. Part 3 of 3. Using a Yaesu FT-8800R Dual Band FM Transceiver.

I have had this radio for about 10 years or so & rate it very highly. Put it this way, i would buy another FT-8800R without hesitation.....

i did not realise how small the screen is compared to the kenwood tm-v71e until i saw one of the yaesus at a rally
