  • Swarmed with tourists wanting to soak up the local atmosphere by buying an ice cream cone and taking pictures. "I once heard them described as "Lickers and Clickers"

  • i used to go thair every summer with my family we stayed at the KOA camp ground but that was when i was a kid

  • My home town :D

  • I grew up here. Before Wal Mart came to Omak, there was only one stop light in the entire county.

  • yes, definitely. i don't live here full time but i go almost fifty times a year since i have a cabin. if i weren't in school, i would choose to live here. i've been many places, but nowhere has the same beauty as wimthrop. the people, the lifestyle, the nature. its the most peaceful place i know. sorry, i could just rave about it for hours.

in the actual town of winthrop, everyone knows each other. in the winthrop area (like the methow valley) a ton of people know each other.

  • i dont live there but i go their often. the town is small, there are many, Many alfalfa farms, and cattle ranches, the farmers come into town to get what they need. down the highway from winthrop about ten miles or so, there is Twisp, even smaller than winthrop(still along the Methow river) and farther down from that is carlton, a VERY small town. so small, there isnt even a stop light. the situation is the same though, lots of farms and ranches. i like it alot, like the old west. very beautiful

  • just your section or the whole town?

  • OH yea

  • Is the place small enough that you know everyone you see at the grocery store?
