These comments criticizing his trumpet playing are ridiculous. I listen to and play a lot of jazz...While he might not be the most technical player he clearly has his own unique voice on the trumpet. And if you listen to a few of his performances its apparent and amazing how naturally he plays just what he hears. Much more rare and interesting and in the spirit of jazz than the hoards of jazz robots out there trying to play charlie parker even faster than charlie parker did...
