Async games Baby Scratch Turntablism app for iphone, consider it flare 'lite' quick test/preview

This is a quick demo of the new async games app baby scratch, based on the flare scratch engine. I like a LOT about it--no doubt. I was put off at first but there's a lot of visual markers on this one.. it's REAL easy on the eyes.

The difference between this app and flare, this app features a sampler to record from mic, flare allows you to upload your own samples. Unfortunately, my 1st gen iphone did not record properly, the recordings were corrupted and also erased the battle sounds that came with the app. I had to uninstall/reinstall to make this vid. There are new backing tracks in this one, really good ones, and only a single battle record a 'best of' of the 3 included with flare.

I would simply recommend buying the full flare. Buy this is if you don't think flare is worth it.. but.. once you do, you'll buy Flare immediately afterwords.. so-- consider it.. I'm hoping/guessing sampling will be added to flare in the future anyway--although if you're unit is jailbroken, with ifile there are ways to do the same thing anyway.

SADLY.. this is take two, which is about 1/4 as good as take one.. I'll know next time not to try the 'upload direct from webcam' option with a DV camcorder.. boo to flash on macs.

Maybe you should read the comment I put below this one 3 months ago.. "this one just plain sucks" the (flash based) web record crashed on youtube ate the better demo. This is the 'i just kicked in the balls' version..

But with over a million downloads, the app.. the app is amazing, which is the point of this video..

I'll have a video posted sometime this week of how to really utilize baby scratch for live, on the fly sampling/scratching.

Oh watcing this again I shed a tear for take 1, lost forever to youtubes webcam capture feature. This one just plain sucks--hope it still comes across as a fair demo for now.
