  • god i hate people i mean for real

    i hate laws like this

one day a guy invents something to get something free

the other guys cant get their money

they go and make it illegal

    WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just because you dont get your shit doesnt mean we cant do whatever the fuck we want

ohh and if you get cought with a FTA reciever will the viewer get in trouble or the seller

someone please tell me if you know????

  • don't worry so much...;)to answer your question, pends where your at.... Canada tends to be lax, most people get slaps on the wrists for pirating for themselves, however its not the same if its for others... US seems to be "tougher". Companies get the whole anti-piracy movement involved, then the person gets treated like a terrorist/anti-patriotic and sent to G-bay or something like that, followed by child predictors being released so that the pirater can be jailed(might not be 100% accurate)

  • wow now im rlly scared

    i mean comon

i dont wanna get deported or somethin

    really

    I DONT!!!!!!!!!

  • I was only joking, I know a couple of people in US who pirate using fta receivers.... if you want to find out more I'd suggest asking on #ftabins on efnet on MIRC. please note that FTA receivers(receivers ment for Free to Air satellites) are not illegal.... its decrypting the signals from companies satellites like dish network/bell that is illegal... the methods used by the people in this news report is extremely unsuggested, as they were using legitimate bell equiptment.

  • if your gonna pirate, research fta receiver. they're receivers meant for satellites that have free channels(there are satellites that offer truly free stuff though usually foreign/religious/ext).. these receivers can be modify to receive encrypted pay for channels... if you do pirate be careful, don't use legit bell or dishnet equiptment, ask yourself beforehand do you require the channels. Most my life I had channels off antenna, I look at piracy as a temporary thing I wouldn't pay for anyway:P

  • Well I don't think this couple was ever charged with anything. The cops made an error in judgment thinking those receivers actually did something of an illegal nature.

    The case was closed.

  • if your right lol.... thats the greatest.... once again big media disrupts the average citizen

  • These people were greedy doing that. They were thinking of money only to have all the cards and receivers. I just live with my FTA satellite system and looking at local channels on my strong antenna to pick up local channels.

  • F.T.A bro FREE,LEGAL PEROID!

  • DECODING ENCRYPTION RADIO WAVE IS ILLEGAL BUT,

F.T.A. Receivers are not stealing anything. They pick open and NON-ENCRYPTION radio wave the same way your Rabbit ears antenna works on your T.V. set.

  • zzzzz

  • Ya know, people up here probably wouldn't be pirating satellite signals nearly as much if the gov't got off its ass and repealed the Broadcast Act, which prevents us from getting Showtime, the real Super Bowl ads, and lots of other cool stuff...

  • lol i get sky for free in the uk lmao

  • Only thing is that when a something gets in the way of the dish and a satellite 40,000 km away you loose the discovery channel for a few hours.
