Berio's Chemins III. This piece is an interpolation of Chemins II and his Sequenza VI.

  • @John11inch no problem =D. berio is the most briliant composer of the XX century.

Beethoven, Webern an Berio the holy trinity of music

  • The violin parts in the opening here seem really tired? A sort of repetitive striving which doesn't really achieve much? If you took out the violin section entirely I wonder what the piece would sound like? More Berioesque in the tensions, contrasts and dynamics?

  • Thanks very, very much for this posting. Remembered that I listened to this Berio piece a long time ago, and admired the way he could "hault" the pulse. Nice to hear it again!
