Another day at work part 3 9n ford vavle adjustment and cold start

I briefly show how to adjust the valves on a the 9n tractor, and she fires right up. Tractor has been sitting for years, so there is some smoke, but I think it has plenty of hours left in it.

Its been a learning experience working on this thing. I wanted to make this video to show those lifter adjusting tools because it took us an hour to figure out how to use them, LOL. If you look beneath the bolt we were turning, where the lifter is in the block, you can see where someone drilled a hole to put a rod through the lifter so they could turn the adjuster nut. We also got a 12v chevy alternator to rig on this. These were originally 6 volt. Glad you are enjoying the vids.

all joking aside, I'm really enjoying this vid series. I've access to a walnut ranch in Northern CA (did some vids out there a while back) & there are at least 3 of these old tractors just sitting around. In fact, I inadvertently [40oz of Sol] found a tractor-width cement block mechanics pit about 20 yards from one of the barns.

...anyway, cool shit.

Just put the .010 and .012 gauges together and there you go :) Still got to repack the muffler bearings and install races. May have to readjust the dipulator valve actuator rod. And the blinkers are blinking too fast, probably gonna have to change the fluid.

btw, how do I get the valve to set at both .010 & .012 on the intake? I got the exhaust all set, but, dammit all! LOL
