I hate how people are superstitious of them and don't adopt them because of their fur color. When we first adopted my cat, she was only 3 weeks old, and had hair similiar to a broom. Nobody in my family wanted her except me, and I knew she would never be adopted and be put to sleep if I didn't have her. So I literally begged all of my family, and they gave in. We named her Spindle, and she is now the center of our life <3
