In the first round matchup of the 2009 NBA Playoffs between the Denver Nuggets and New Orleans the Nuggets are going to have to provide a cohesive defense against Chris Paul and the pick and roll. Look for them to be aggressive in an attempt to keep him out of the lane as they did in this matchup from March 25, 2009 which was won by the Nuggets 101-88.

  • Hey video creator....... The Pick and Roll has yet to be stopped no matter what. you can slow it down for a bit when you don't got a shooter to pass off to. This is why Stockton and Malone's was unguardable. When the double screen came @1:06 - The 2 dudes who set the screen both ran routes that cut off play by heading into the paint.. i don't even think this was a double screen. Paul forced the pass to the open lefthand that would led him to the right side for the lay up Had #30 rolled out left.

  • @EmiMale

He's a great dribbler and therefore overuses it. Doesn't see the small passes quickly enough. I also think that he's more quick than he is smart and he gets by defenders but doesn't know what to do with the ball.

  • @TheOtherView I agree. Since Byron Scott got fired, I haven't watch any of their games Do you think it's because he doesn't know how to release the ball quickly or because that's what the offense demands of him?

  • @EmiMale

Paul dribbles and holds the ball way too long

  • @MrGoldhawk91 Deron Williams is better than Chris Paul. I'd rather watch Paul but there's very little CP3 does that D-Will can't do. Plus Williams has size and strength, which in theory would make him harder to defend.

My opinion isn't always true, cause players can evolve by adding to their game and minimizing their deficiencies. Its all about who raises his game when it matters.

Other PG I like watching are Westbrook(I love his aggressiveness), Rondo when playing for the Celtics & Jennings.

  • chris paul is by far the best point guard in the league and steve nash is shit right now

  • at 1:32 paul did a horrible job coming off the screener

  • He's on the olympic team, amen.
