there is nothing in the bible that says thou shall not dance, it does say all things in moderation and not to loosen up so your passions get the best of you, but, david danced before the lord, and it is safe to assume jesus did also at the wedding at cana where he turned water to wine.

so I think many christian schools go overboard on trying to protect people from themselves its crazy.

yeah, I'm sorry, my comment sounded very rough, I'm not religious, but I know how terrible it is to have an unhealthy relationship with food and being depressed, and have no idea of how joyful a life can be. Nothing is more important in life than simply being happy and healthy.

OMG! I would kill my parents if they stopped me from pursuing my dreams! And she is stupid too. Instead of doing what she loves so much, share her passion of dance with the rest of the world, and try to do something usefull to the art of ballet, she now 'dances' for a holy spirit. But mostly of course, she dances for herself. Everyone in ballet goes through a period of an eating disorder but they stay dedicated to the art and let hundrends of people enjoy the beauty of their performace.
