"[Buchanan's] other views on a range of topics are neither sensible nor ethical."
Fortunately 3 intelligent US presidents - Nixon, Ford and Reagan did not think this view of Pat Buchanan is correct. I take their opinions of Buchanan over any other. THANKS!

@tonylee1973 They talk to some really proud US high-ups all the time. It's no secret that the U.S. misbehaves a lot, and it's been 40 years since any reporter was unafraid to talk about it in the country. AlJazeera isn't afraid to call anyone out - they call out the Qatari king when they have to. They're the middle eastern BBC, just public broadcasting.

Before this I was very anti al jazeer. I thought it was simply anti american by nature. But if al jazeer is willing to listen to a patriot lik Pat Buchanan, well I think I should rethink my position.

European wars in 19th century & World War I were created by inculcated divisions, profits for the bankers.Alliances setting up stages for more wars large & small.
WAR means profits for those who create these divisions/enmities as well as write the unenforcble treaties. Those who did these dirty management actions in Europe are the very SAME as the NEO CONS with fangs stuck in the breast/heart of America.Buchanan stops short of naming the beast as he knows he will LOSE his bully pulpit.GO PAT!

It'll be utter hypocrisy if the US/NATO intervene in Libya while they were silent as Israel perpetrated its butchery in Gaza 2008-09. 4500 innocents murdered, maimed and wounded including hundreds of children and the US along with its NATO allies sat by twiddled their thumbs and in many cases actually condoned the slaughter.

The reality is that there is a fire and the longer you wait to fight it, the worse it gets. Turning your back on brutality or subjugation is not in anyone's interest. The fear of who gains, leads or who takes power after peace is restored does not release a policing or preventive force from moral imperative or duty.
@MrDarkbloom Pat is very well read and has a great understanding of history. His words are well founded. He is one of the few who is not bought and paid for, so you can rest assure knowing his words are his ideas, not Murdoch's or anyone else's.

Pat doesn't believe in military intervention - that sounds sensible and ethical. It's rather unfortunate that most of his other views on a range of topics are neither sensible nor ethical.
