Diving in Laguna de Tota (Andes Mountains - Colombia)

High altitude diving in Laguna de Tota (Tota Lake), in the Andes, approximately 200 km to the northeast of Bogotá, Colombia's capitol. This place has an altitude of 3005 meters over the sea level (9850 feet). It's ideal for altitude scuba-diving, sailing sports and for fishing. I shot this video and photos in february and december of 2007. Many of the images were taken the same day I was practicing to become a PADI Specialty Instructor in Dry Suit Diving and in Altitude Diving, and my group of buddies and I were also making the Cleanup-day, so unfortunately I wasn´t able to capture many fishes. Besides, the visibility wasn't very good that day. But I expect to return there soon and bring back better images. That's a promise. Point is, you may find spectacular places in Colombia to dive, not only at the Caribbean Sea or the Pacific Ocean, but in the Andes as well. ¡Greetings from Bogotá! Thilo.
