Ex-Gay Survivor's Conference Ceremonial Tree Planting

The weekend of June 29 - July 1st, 2007 Soulforce and BeyondExGay.com put on the first ever conference for survivors of exgay programs. At the beginning of the conference participants placed their thoughts and feelings about their exgay experiences on large sheets of paper which quickly took on great emotional weight and meaning. This video was made at the conclusion of the conference when organizers needed to dispose of the paper but didn't simply wish to throw it away. This video includes appearances by Christine Bakke, Paige Schilt, Shawn O'Donnell, Pat Walsh and many others involved in the Survivor's Conference. Thank you for sharing this. Although I've never been subjected to the torturous cruelty of ex-gay "therapy" my heart goes out to all the people who have been. Hopefully these monstrous places will be shut down.
