i never got a quinceañera because of the fact that yess they are a waste of money and my parents didnt have the money.
now my parents are saving up money for my college.
i like going to the parties tho. theres free food, friends, and plus its in un salon where you know the policia is not going in to check up on the party and telling you to lower the noise.

Quinceaneras a waste of money!! A year later they become pregnant and leave their parents. They will never waste 10 thousands on education. Then you get to feed 500 people when you invited 200!!!

It's because Mexican girls are already on their third pregnancy by the time they're 14,so instead of proclaiming womanhood at 16 like normal cultures,they have to do it at 15 just to get it out of the way so the men who fathered their children will quit asking for their 11 year old daughters hands in marriage!They'll know that they just have to wait 4 or 5 more years until they turn 15 to marry them.
