Modern Cataract Surgery with Toric Intraocular Lens.
Small (2.2 mm) incision, sutureless, Topical anesthesia. Anterior stromal puncture marks are used preoperatively on the cornea to align the toric IOL on the correct axis.

This is a toric IOL, just difficult to see the marks. I no longer use ink reference marks to align the toric on axis. I make two anterior stromal puncture marks on the cornea, at the slit lamp, after aligning the slit beam on the desired axis. This marking is done the week of before surgery and th marks can be seen under to operating microscope in the red reflex. I have found this technique to offer more precise alignment, and improved OR efficiency.

Is this a toric IOL or a regular Acrysof? Don't see the lens markings and doesn't look like the eye is marked. Maybe it's just hard to see.
