  • thanks! it really helps.

  • If it wasn't for you making this video I would have never figured out how to adjust the stripper, btw, who every assembled it must have adjusted it for who knows what! I just about used up a foot of cable getting it adjusted, sure you don't want to fish the cable in the walls for me :) Steve

  • Thanks heaps mate.

  • @m1nc3m3at Sorry Mate, no. I sort of lost heart after finding that my in-line signal booster gizmo doesn't seem to work. I think it may be the poor quality of my workmanship on these connectors. I reckon this whole specification is shit though. It's certainly not what I'd call a mature technology. I mean fancy a whole industry accepting such a cruddy set up for such a vital part of the signal capture process!

  • @xodarap Did you manage to return it to defaul again as I have done the same thing and am unable to remember where they were to begin with :(, ias there a trick to it?

  • Great job, it was to the point and it help refine my cuts. Thanks!

  • I forgot to say, then you fold back the inner braid also.

p.s. I would be worried about removing the outer braid, as I think quad shield connector diameters are designed to accomodate both braids folded back

  • What connector is this for? A very good video, but my connector instructions (BNC quad shield) says do not remove outer braid, instead fold it back then remove outer foil. Obviously this has to be done by hand.

  • I enjoyed this video and got this tool along with all the other tools needed to put on connectors and have used this technique with my satellite dish cables and antenna cable. Thanks for placing this video online for all like myself to view.
