they have an quite impressive sound. I have a 6.0 setup here now. for the price im very satisfied with the system. its true that u dont need a subwoofer, but if u live in the celler or somewhere else where loudness plays no role u can get a sub as well. i bought one and found out its not necessary for normal apartments.
