Dr. Ross Hauser of Caring Medical & Rehabilitation Services in Oak Park, Illinois discusses the general risks involved with Prolotherapy. Prolotherapy is an injection technique that stimulates the body to repair the painful area. It is most often used for chronic pain treatment, including arthritis treatment, sports injury treatment, ACL tear, meniscus tear, labral tear treatment, herniated or bulging disc treatment, hip pain treatment, back pain treatment, cartilage regeneration and repair. To learn more about how Prolotherapy treatments work as an alternative to surgery, NSAID drugs, and a cortisone injection, visit http://www.caringmedical.com/therapies/prolotherapy.asp

  • Shake420Junt, we are in the process of releasing a video showing an ankle treatment, but to answer your question...yes. Prolotherapy works very well at stabilizing and strengthening the ligaments and tendons within the ankle area, including the achilles tendon. You can check out the caringmedical website (.com) and look under 'symptoms and conditions' to find out more on ankle treatments.
