Kubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot Final Release Review

Review of Kubuntu 11.10 which is codenamed Oneiric Ocelot. This is a review of both a Virtualbox and Full System Install, and I show you some of the new features that have been added.

Kubuntu is now using KDE 4.7 and now has the new Muon Software Centre / Package Manager.

Conclusion: 70%
Its a nice enough looking KDE distro, but as a Canonical Distro its missing some features e.g. Ubuntu One Client and Ubuntu Music store.
Unfortunately I came across quite a few bugs in the system and installer

@thevisualboy37 One of the new features added to Youtube recently shows me the timings and countries where the dislikes come from. The bulk are from Australia and happen at the same time.

@quidsup I can't simply login into kubuntu, i installed it with Wubi windows installer, and when it loads right before login "the 5 dots under kubuntu log" it just freezes , and remains like this forever , any idea how to fix this? sorry for my english =(

@Kommandant101 Wubi is only a testing system and isn't that reliable. Maybe it will work in a full system install...

people hating on windows =/ ehh i use both this and windows 7....but mac sucks i just like fast operation systems not a fucking slow piece of shit. Linux and Win Forever....*cough* fuck windows 8 this kubuntu is good for me

Kubuntu is cool but there is a printer bug and the back arrows in the launcher menu are removed :(

Hey Quids, I know this is an old review, however I was wondering if you could boot up Kubuntu in a virtual machine once more. Reason being, they've updated a lot of the packages, and such, making it a lot better. Also, the main reason is, I would love for you to take a look at a widget called "Smooth-task", it makes the taskbar more like the superbar in Windows 7, and adds a lot of customization to it. Great review regardless.
