Fr. Joe Nangle "FMS & a New Way of Being Church"- part 2/2

Fr. Joe Nangle, OFM was the guest speaker at the Franciscan Mission Service 5th Annual World Care Benefit & Celebration on October 9, 2009. Fr. Joe's talk, entitled FMS & A New Way of Being Church, provided insight from his travels to Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He discussed the "young churches" on these continents and how Catholic missioners living amongst these people are finding common ground through a dialogue of equals. Fr. Joe challenged everyone to recognize the social realities surrounding them and apply the Gospel to these realities as they creatively work to redefine North American churches by respecting and learning from the traditions of young churches throughout the world.
