Today I am demonstrating how to make Smothered Potatoes and Sausage in a slow cooker. This is a very easy meal you can make in your slow cooker.

Easy Smothered Potatoes & Sausage

This savory meal goes well as a side or main dish.

3 links (1 lb.) smoked sausage, cut in small pieces
1 (2-lb.) bag frozen, crinkle-cut French-fried potatoes, defrosted
1 (1-oz.) package onion soup mix, dissolved in 3/4 cup water
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt, red & black pepper, to taste
1/2 stick butter, chopped

Brown sausage in skillet, drain excess grease. Add all ingredients to slow cooker, stir, cover and cook on HIGH for 3 1/2 hours, or on LOW for 6 or 7 hours.
Makes two quarts.
