  • Naglfar forever!

  • Original version of Elizabeth Bathory is better! True Hungarian Black Metal!

  • Limbonic Art and Naglfar

    Hell Yeah!!! \m/

  • come on chaps lets not bicker

  • really waste of time, see all the 40 favorite black metal songs of you when in all Burzum was in first but in none "Det som en gang var" , appears, and what is the deal with Gorgoroth, for some reason Nargaroth ends in "roth"

  • The Return... Is OFFICIALLY THE FIRST BLACK METAL ALBUM. It meets all black metal standards as we know today, raw production, gloomy atmosphere, brutal riffs, and random solos.

  • Look Sword Kataxu is right and u r wrong. Black metal was indeed influence BY Venom AND Mercyful Fate BUT this bands were influnce by the #1BAND of ALL black metal bands AND tha is my friend BLACK SABBATH. Ever hear the lirycs to their music???

  • It doesn't make sense to have over 4 different videos listing 10 songs on each called my favorite top 10, because that's already 40 songs..

  • Never heard of first-wave black metal. Metallica was influenced by Venom too, you know. First-wave black metal was influenced by Venom, and OTHER thrash bands, which probably don't include Metallica (though some, I may not doubt, depending on the band), but I'm willing to bet Metallica was not one of the bands that had influence in black metal. Slayer most pobably is the highest influence, Venom, Vulcano -THat's how Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Possessed, Sarcofago, and Bathory all came about.

  • not really, hear any Black Metal bands sounding like Venom?...NO.

It did START Black Metal which why it is respected but that's all there is to that band.

Bathory was the prototype of Black Metal sound therefor was a big influence BUT the band was put together in 1983 and stayed underground meaning it took good 1-2 years for it to get known and make any influence WHEN Kill 'em All was already out in late 1982.

It's plain facts, get over it.
