Gah they're so eclectic...
On one album they combine SO many styles and instruments into a supernova that'll give you the best eargasm you've ever had. It can only be described as "wonky rock"

so awesome

Pedals can give you a lot of different tones and sounds..even if you play an expensive amp. Has nothing to do with the size or cost of the amp.
-
oo i like this song
-
if you get a good amp then you wont need a pedal, because the head will do all your basics, you will use pedals for smaller or cheaper amps.
-
Yea it's just you. Partially the horrible filming though. You can't really get a good look at them.
-
one of my favorite songs by them

Is it just me...or does this not really look/sound like them?

Sorry that I'm not a professional camera man? It's not like I'm trying to sell this as a live DVD, it's just a YouTube video.

I think their stuff is pretty weird. Their guitars are really clean instead of usual amp. (i dont know the names of the guitar amp effects) Still, it is not bad.

It's not the amp that makes the guitars sound different, it's something called effects pedals. While there is a certain art to balancing the guitars via the amps, an amp mostly just does what its name suggests; amplifies the sound.

Okay, well I thought the amp can add flanger, distortion, etc. but that must be the pedals?

It can, but only in a very slight amount. The biggest amount of distortion comes from a pedal.
