How come you wrote neko in katakana? I was told to use hiragana or kanji. Is it because katakana sounds like "cat alphabet"?

People think cats and string or ribbon are cute, but it's a leading cause of death for cats. They swallow the string or ribbon, it wraps around the base of their tongue or a back tooth, and when their system tries to pass it, their intestines bunch up on the string and literally get sawed to shreds. It's a horrible, sad death. Cats & String or Ribbon: Bad bad idea.
