@bubbles867 Do you think the new kit means a return to the specialist infantryman role of ww2 where each soldier was a specialist in a particular weapon system so that you can have depth of fire?
Do you think the fire bases in Afghan need metal storm systems as they have been seen in the past to have too few soldiers, especially because of the media focus on numbers & force concentration?

@martin50325- not that ur post was in support of the argument currently going on between bubbles and tht but tht is in a way the piont i was trying to make. Half of the guns on there arent being usaed with the regulaur army and only some with the SAS

half of the guns is pish like the barret sniper rifle cause we dnt use tht for sure and one of those veichles was not being used and is being taking into considoratuoin but not being issued so get ur bloody facts right

bubbles867- not 2 cause an argument but i no my stuff on the ground standerdly use the SA80 A2 or the GPMG, yes i no some of the kit is changing now but the fact is were not in conflict within northen ireland anymore and we didnt use the H&K weapons beside a few lucky troops and regulaur troops dont use any H&K only the SAS like u no

@Mrcheesypeanut All H&K weapons were used and were being used in Northern Ireland and Iraq by close obsxervation troops of the regular army , plus my mate was using the H&K 55 whilst in afghan in my tour , so maybe i suggest you know a little about what you're talking about.
