Despite recent improvements of 5.4 percentage points since 2003, black students continue to lag behind whites and Asians in becoming academically eligible to enter California's two public university systems.
With black males, the statistics are worse: nearly half won't even graduate from high school.

@DesireeChicago Thks for the reply...I agree totally with you, he sounds pathetic (thinking college is easier yet he doesn't like HS) and unfortunately many students feel the same as he. No understanding of how blessed/fortunate they are to be able to obtain any type of education. Take Care

@mssquirrely He also needs to realize that children in 3rd world countries would give anything to go to school, cuz so many of them cannot, cuz they have to help support their parents. So instead of pissing and moaning about going to school he should realize those children would give anything to go to such a place that he takes for granted.

Who doesn't? People do it anyway so they can get a job more easily. People who graduate college make more money on average and live longer on average than people who don't.

The sentiments of most children, SAD! they have too d*mn much to do for one....too many DISTRACTIONS. I couldn't understand for the life of my WHY! I had to study MacBeth, Shakespear, etc. in HS but I knew I'd better not bring no D or F home or I would've had a azz whiping with a shakespear.....LOL! That guy needs to know this WHOLE WORLD was built on MATH and SCIENCE.
