@pianodrew i agree, i was disappointed with Ivory. I really wanted ivory to sound the best because i spent so much money and put so much hope to it. its sad, but i was not impressed.

The virtual piano demos always sound great...but when you actually buy the software, the sound is flat and a bit synthetic as well.
The only virtual piano I was ever satisfied with, was The Grand (the first one). I remember it as being amazing. Probably going to give this a shot, and at this price, I really hope it delivers!

@pianodrew Thank you very much for the heads up. I just stumbled across (on you tube) a site demoing a sample program featuring the FAZIOLI . Very interesting sound I am going to search further.
Thanks again for your review on the Ivory.

I recently purchased Ivory Italian Grand 2, and have to say I'm very un-impressed with it. I went for the Italian Grand oppose to the standard Ivory as the standard Ivory has a horrible nasally tone to it that sounds nothing like a Piano. People say "Ivory is the best" - but in my opinion this is the best. The Grand 3 is the most complete and realistic sound I've ever heard from a VI! Have to say, you cannot just look at the sample; Ivory samples promised greatness - they delivered poorly.
can this be used with halion sonic SE 64 bit? or do I need to buy halion 4? I already own halion sonic SE as it came with cubase 6

@btyremanable Hi there, The Grand 3 is an independent VST instrument, you can't use it inside Halion/Halion Sonic/SE. But of course you can use it in Cubase 6 at the same time as Halion Sonic. :)
