I would imagine you would have to be pretty prescise with this project. I am guessing it can spin at a pretty good speed, you wouldn't want it ripping itself apart. Thanks for sharing this video! :)

@7h7gn7fh, i am not sure of the question. however, what i have in the video is a how to construct a PMA.

@emagnets I think he was referring to the extra wire intertwined within the coils. I'm assuming just to hold it in place? Very nice build though :) Just one question though, why do you only use bends in your coils and not complete coils (circles)?

@azterik yep, the interwinding is just for holding the main coils together.
i find that the serpen coil gives me more volts at much lower rpm.

What's the purpose of the copper wire holding the 3 sets of winding together (at 4:19 you can see the bright copper single thread around the 3 coils)?
