  • naked lunch is certainly not a cinematic portrayl of the novel of the same name, it is a biography of Burroughs life, Cronenberg did a great job because that is the REAL story. The fact that letterman avoids homosexuality and drug addiction entirely does, I'm afraid, make him somewhat of an idiot here, as someone commented. Dave has no balls, that is obvious, strictly the shallow end of the pool.
