DSMJim claims 10.85 on the 1/4 mile.., so is his maxima truly the fastest maxima in the world? His is 4th gen.. yours is 3rd. Im buying a new maxima so my choice might effect the current statistics.

reallyy nice maxima great job
Brief rundown on what the switches do: I do my burnout locked in 1st gear in manual mode. After burnout, auto mode is engaged for 7300rpm shifts. I shut off heater and cooling fans, which cools engine down between runs. Then I flip up a safety cover for my TC lockup. Once in 3rd, I lock TC. The red light means it's locked and why you hear the revs lower slightly. Once I pass through the traps, I unlock the TC, kick on the heater and cooling fans, and flip back to manual mode for my transmission.

another question, what is the loss in power for a second as you switch on/off something near the gear selector. Im just trying to figure out how to drive mine down the track.

@Perkman03 That is when I engage the torque converter lock up solenoid in order to lock up in 3rd gear. In theory, it helps lay down more power with the TC locked up. But in my tests, I have been unable to see any changes in the 1/4 mile ET. For you, in order to allow the 3rd gear to lock up, leave the OD off. Your stock TCM should automatically lock it up for you. With your OD on, your 3rd gear will remained unlocked.

I love what you did with the dash. Its like a space ship. click this....lock out third.
were you using the suprastick, b/c those shifts are soo hard and quick
Nice work Aaron

@Perkman03 Thanks. The firm shifts are due to a recalibrated valve body. We are running a Suprastick, but that only controls our shift points in automatic mode.
