The more you find out about mainstream (if you read abooks about the history of medicine), the more you will find out it's not really a direction you want to go. Read, read, read and find out actual independant sources of information. Mass sources as tv can not be trusted, as manufacturers of synthetic medication have influence there, so they will always present things differentlyt than the truth. Anyway..Just my 2 cents

If you want to know if you have thyroid problems, go to a 'natural' doctor. Regular medicine measures pretty much one thing (TSH) and some others, but mostly takes the TSH value as an indication. THe TSH, however, does not reflect thyroid function as they only correlate poorly. 70% who have thyroid problems never find this out, because their (mainstream) doctor just does not know and is not allowed to use other indications and do other blood tests. however, Alternative/natural doctors *can*

@iBePandaBear That's good that you don't. You just have change her thinking. She may not realize it hurts you to indulge in things that aren't healthy as often. Maybe even consider working out together, it may help build the foundation you both need. Hope things work out well.

@Counterbrilliance I have had problems (Cysts and stuff) So my doctor is doing a hormone test like the Thyroid and other things. Maybe it will show something.
-
@TheStarsgift I don't drink soda and she has bought healthy things but she still asks me if I want pizza every time we are out.
-
@iBePandaBear Have you tried to ask her to get carrots or apples, etc...whole grain crackers, good stuff, healthy. It does cost just as much to buy them as the junk food. Plus doing things like cutting out soda saves a lot and drinking more water is better for you. Try working out like 30 min a day at first, then work up to an hour. Overeating is as big a problem as undereating.

@Counterbrilliance I was still huge. God help me, I am huge. I hate myself for wanting to get sick enough to need to go inpatient. I've been "recovering" for two months. I can't help but miss it. To want to go back.

@omgxwtfxily why be disappointed in yourself? be disappointed in the retards around you.
-
@GalsPals66 probably so they don't have a chance to try and make their weight artificially go up by drinking mad water, putting weights in their pockets, and other sneaky shit.
-
why do they get weighed so early?
I know how it feels. I have it the other way around though...I know I'm full. I know should stop eating. Like right now. I'm eating pop tarts. Do I need it. No...I'm 300 pounds. I can't stop. My mom buys this shit. I wish someone would help me.No-one will. It's the girls who can't eat who get the help. But I'm killing myself too. Just in a different way.

@iBePandaBear So take action to change. Go with your mom to the grocery store and/or make a diet plan with specific foods that you're only allowed to eat. Allow yourself treats now and again. Moderation moderation moderation!!!! Don't give in to your comfortable eating habits :(
