Connecting Xbox 360 Controller to your PC

This tutorial will teach you how to connect your Xbox 360 controller, wired or wireless, to your PC.

****WIRELESS- I have been getting a lot of questions regarding wireless controllers. In order to connect your controller wireless you will need to purchase a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows (search on google for the product). You cannot use a Play and Charge Kit, it will only transfer power to the controller and not data.****

NOTE: If you have the plug and play for a wireless controller, it WILL NOT work. The plug and play sends power to the contoller not data to your PC.

***WINDOW 7 USERS, do the following for Xpadder***
On the xpadder icon, right click it goto properties then compatibility tab then make sure box is checked run this program in compatibility mode for then select windows vista in the drop down box clck apply and then double click the xpadder.exe on your desktop then run it .

This tutorial just teaches you how to download the software to use to your advantage. If it crashes your computer or internet then take it up with them. You didnt have to pay for the software nor did I encourage you to pay ( I actually have a free version in description). Hope you get it to work, have a nice day :)

i have a wireless controller but i also have the cord that plugs into the back of the controller into a usb port. Cant i just plug that into the controller and into the computer and it should work?
