  • According to family history, Two Guns did pose for the nickel along with 2 others, one who was Sioux. My grama was Two Guns niece, her mother being" Mary Mountain Chief". Thank you so much for ensuring the film is taken care of, I have seen many pictures, but never a video.

  • @msgnight Thanks for adding the family story! I was hoping that by posting this film on youtube that some family members of some of the people in the film would be able to see it. I am glad some have!

  • This film has to be from 1926, not 1936, due to the women's clothing and hair styles, cars and film quality itself.

  • @Dollbabyloves Think you are very wrong in you assumption! My husband was 6'4, his cousin 6'6, my son is 6'2 and I am 4'11. My husbands family was very dark and only lightened up in the winter. Blackfoot face snow more months than sun. There are very few full bloods NOW. In the 60's, the Blackfoot only had a few full bloods and they did NOT like mixed that lived on the rez. Navajo have kept much of their ways, language, religion, beliefs and marriage codes. Same for Hopi

  • I knew Percy Bullchild when he was alive, helped in a small way to get his book printed, "The Sun Came Down" in the early 80's. Its the Blackfeet creation story. James Willard Schultz wrote alot of interesting tom sawyer-like adventure stories, he was pretty accurate, for that time period. Search Blackfeet on the internet or go to your local library. There used to be a James Willard Schultz society out of New York, don't know if its still in existence. "The Old North Trail" is another book.

  • @msgnight is there eariler storys of the blackfeet,? i am some unknown part blackfoot, was raised by a real white man (step dad),and dident learn of my blood, until now,i would love to find some achient storys for my soul.

  • prays the great spirit

  • i am blackfoot their are only 32000 of us left

  • my grate grandmother was married to the chief

  • These people deserve their lives and their livlihoods back!

  • It's Blackfoot, not Blackfeet.

  • Great work keeping this memory alive

  • Look how much more defined features they had and darker complexions... To bad they have been mixing with white people. Now they're Shorter and less "red skinned". Makes me sad to think that in 20 years, if not already, they'll be no more pure b
