I was eight or nine I think...And honestly kids who have to go that far tend to do so by themselves now adays but god...No kid should get close to the car and ask the stranger anythng. Just keep going and ignore them or say: "MOM TOLD ME NOT TO TALK TO STRANGERS!" And run on to ther destination.

I actually almost got kidnapped once by a guy trying to get me to help him find his dog from his car. I was pretty far up and my mother screamed at me from the doorway to run back inside. He showed up again with a dog leash when the officer was there and gave a bogus story. I don't remember much except for saying: "I was far up in the yard mommy...I wasnt' gonna get in the car with him. I promise." All I had been doing was remembering that day's episode of TmeBlazers whilst playing with my ball.
