"Fans of the sonic series are like most sega fans, we want their old games brought back to the glory days when sega was pretty much the power in video games. Seeing the gameplay of sonic 4 has made many of us realize what we already knew, Sonic 4 will simply not be anywhere near as good as the original sonic games. Either way, We will decide to finally show sega what the fans truly want. A real sonic 4, as long as sonic 4 stays the way it is, we will not buy it, we will in fact buy sonic 1 on release in protest of sonic 4, till we end up with a re tool, or change, we want sonic in hd, not sonic RUSH HD. We will not buy a future sonic game, till we get a true successor to sonic 1/2"

We give them a 2D Sonic game WHICH IS WHAT THEY WANTED FOR FUCKING YEARS and they STILL bitch.

how is Sega ignoring the designs? The design of the game still looks retro and they're bringing alot of stuff back fom the older games but with a graphic upgrade. If they don't like the name Eggman then continue to call him Robotnik. Eggman is his real name in japan so I don't think thats going to changed. All I see is a bunch of whining cause the retro fans wants the game to exactly like the genesis games. They should be grateful that Sega is making an 2D game finally.

Seriously though, I like Sonic, and I'm glad I'm not a fanboy, I don't get why they hate Modern Sonic for being tall and having green eyes, and having a voice...Seriously, WTF. Classic is liked for being short and having no voice and black eyes. Classic can spin dash, jump, run fast in a 2D Dimension...Modern can boast, homing attack, shift from 3D or 2D perspective, do tricks, grind, drift, duck, and stomp. I like Classic, but come on...

@Axxidous Tru dat, and last I hear it was Sonic Fan-remix. It's nice and all, but unless it brings more to the table then just being sonic 2 in 3D, what's the point? You can find a new classic style sonic game just by picking up a rom hack with new levels designs, it's that simple. Now, if you wanna talk about good fan projects, look up Sonic nebulous and Eggman hates furries. The authors of these fan games show a lot more ambition in sonic then most sonic fans.
