  • In order to win again Meryl with have to out do Meryl. She is expected to be the best...and she already won twice for it, o to win again she'll have to be better than herself.

  • I disagree... Hana is supposed to be cold and dull. She doesn't understand most of anything that goes around her. Some weepy annoying person would not have fit the characterization at all. As for Anne, she did wonderful in Rachel, but the drug addict deal has been played and she could do a better movie... a more deserving movie I should say.

  • no it isn't a Holocaust movie.

  • the reader is a holocaust movie?? if it is, well i would say that sophie's choice is way more better than the reader! sophie's choice was a bomb!meryl's performance was astounding!that's why meryl earned the oscar best actress for that movie.

    meryl's just amazing!

  • Meryl is LONGGGGGGGGG OVER DUE.

She's such a phenominal actress and it's really a shame to see her lose as many times as she has. She deserves a lot more, if not all.

  • Kate Winslet's performance was very good but Meryl's was chilling. She can hide so deep into her character that i find it hard to believe it's the lovely Meryl Streep under that stern nun appearance, and she makes you forget to breathe in that confrontation scene..

I don't think she will win but if she will it would be the best birthday gift..it's my birthday on the 23 feb and I'll be watching the Oscars all night hoping for a miracle:D

  • kate alllllllll the way

  • I completely agree with you. I love Kate so much, but I couldn't really feel her pain or emotions in The Reader. Anne Hathaway however, was so real and natural. I definitely felt her pain and struggle and I think she should win but sadly, I don't think she will :(
