The hills look on fire, but soon they'll be bare
I pull my coat a little closer and walk this old pathway alone

Nights are getting longer, just watch for the signs
Winter's coming closer, cause over the pines
Strange constellations march through the sky as I walk

Seasons go on and the days come and go
Before very long there'll be whispers of snow
But I can't help this feeling that you should be here
As I walk this old pathway alone... in the colours of fall

Long forgotten memories dance through the trees
As the wind picks up and plays with the leaves
The warmth of our summertime seems so far away as I walk alone

Silent and lonely, the sad harvest moon
